Jeff was born and raised on the Hawaiian island of Maui and grew up in a large ranch family. Jeff’s love for his home and the food he grew up with inspired him to complete culinary training and receive two culinary degrees within three years, right after high school.
After working in restaurants and hotels, Jeff received an opportunity in the financial services industry and within 9 months, Jeff was promoted to Senior Regional Leader and managed an office of 15 licensed agents. Jeff and his team created financial plans and educated clients on debt consolidation, life insurance, and investments. In this role, Jeff developed a strong passion for helping and educating people.
Jeff’s love for food and cooking brought him back to the kitchen, after 4 years in the financial industry, to run an up and coming restaurant in Maui. From there he continued in his culinary career in large resorts and hotels in Maui, and the Pacific Northwest in Washington State where he managed large upscale operations for Westin and Hyatt properties and cooked for various CEOS and athletes, including the Seattle Seahawks before every home game for four years. Washington is where Jeff and Mike Musco met and started a great friendship.
In 2020, Jeff, his wife Vanessa, and their two-year-old son Luke moved back to Hawaii to Vanessa’s hometown in Kona where Jeff accomplished his ultimate culinary goal of becoming an Executive Chef for a highly rated restaurant group. Jeff decided to return to finance after long conversations with Mike about the mortgage industry. He started working with Mike as a loan officer assistant and began acquiring the knowledge needed to become a seasoned and trusted loan officer that is dedicated to customer satisfaction. Jeff was licensed shortly after starting the business and has been helping families make homeownership a reality.
